🥹 A Dog Just Ran 77 Miles To Get Adopted

I'm not crying, you're crying...

Chonkfest is Coming to Philadelphia

For the past 3 years, I (Bryan, Dog Dad to Maxine the Fluffy Corgi) have had the pleasure of not just knowing Chris (Dog Dad to Hammy, and also fellow writer of Dog Juice), but becoming best friends.

And for the past year, we’ve been working on putting together what we think is going to be the most epic dog party in the world — and we’d like to officially invite you, dear internet stranger and friend of Dog Juice, to enjoy a full weekend of fun & games at Bark Social Manayunk, right outside of Philadelphia.

Tons of dogs, tons of of beer, a dunk tank, pie eating contests, long jump pool, a mechanical bull, and tons more — all sponsored by our friends at Jazwares Pets, the geniuses behind Squishmallows.

Why are we doing this? Cause we love our pets, and we love a good party.

[PHOTOS] NYC’s Museum of the Dog Hosts Annual Pet Gala

Say goodbye to the catwalk, because the Pet Gala is where dogs steal the spotlight! Designer Anthony Rubio hosted the now-annual extravaganza Monday night, with 18 dogs strutting their stuff at New York’s American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog. These four-legged fashionistas rocked couture inspired by Met Gala looks from just two weeks prior.

Rubio assures us, "We're not mocking the Met Gala. We're celebrating and appreciating the fabulous designs by the world's best designers." Thank God. Because nothing says high fashion like a shih tzu channeling Chris Hemsworth! At $300 a ticket, this canine couture event supports the museum, just like its swankier human version funds the Met's Costume Institute.

The lineup was a who's who of furry A-listers: Daffodil the Pomeranian as Jennifer Lopez, Kimba the chihuahua in one of Zendaya’s outfits, Miley-Jo the Chorkie as Cardi B, and Bastian the terrier as Colman Domingo. This year’s theme was the Garden of Time, aligning with the Met’s “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit. Missed the show? The dogs' dazzling duds will be on display at the Museum of the Dog throughout June.

Rubio, who worked tirelessly to tailor the tiny garments, quips, "Photographers say working with kids and animals is tough. Not in my world. The dogs don’t complain or fuss." In Rubio's universe, it seems the humans are the real prima donnas!
