[PHOTOS] We Threw The Worldâs Biggest Dog Party: Chonkfest Philadelphia
The chonks were OUT IN FULL FORCE this past weekend as thousands descended upon Bark Social Philadelphia for the first ever ChonkFest hosted by Hammy and Maxine. I guess I should stop speaking in the third person because Iâm Maxineâs Dad, and Chris (Hammyâs Dad) and I hosted this event that has been a dream of ours for years.
What was the dream?
To put on an event like nobody has ever seen before. Chonkfest is a celebration of our pets, and the incredible humans that merely live with them. We had a massive pool, a dunk tank, doggy yoga, a pie-eating contest, three incredible caricature artists, a mentalist that BLEW everyoneâs minds, a DJ that was absolutely RIPPING, tons of beer and incredible giveaways from our fantastic sponsor Jazwares Pets, all housed in the incredible doggy kingdom known as Bark Social.
Whyâd we do this? For you. If youâre reading this, if youâve ever followed either Hammy or Maxine, if you love your dog and like a good party â this one was for you. An event like this has never existed, so we decided to do it ourselves.
Over the course of 3 days, the chonks came in from all over the country to revel in the gorgeous weather in what some have said was âThe canât-miss event of the seasonâ and boy oh boy â wellâŠIâll shut up now and let the pictures speak for themselvesâŠ

Chonkfest was a weekend Iâll never forget. We made so many friends, drank so many beers and snuggled so many dogs. A big thanks to the entire team at Bark Social including their AMAZING park rangers that really kept the vibes incredibly high the entire time and our sponsor Jazwares Pets for helping to make our dreams a reality.
