đ Study FINALLY Proves Dogs Are the Key to Mental Health
Somehow I'm still not doing well after the Mets loss...
New Study Links Dogs to Improved Mental Health

Science has recently confirmed what every dog lover already knows: dogs are magical! Research has proven that our furry friends donât just make us feel happier, they also lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormones, and even boost oxytocin (aka the âlove hormoneâ) just by locking eyes with us. But whatâs happening in our brains when we hang out with them? Thatâs been a bit of a mysteryâuntil now.
According to NBC News, a recent study in South Korea wired up 30 adults with brainwave headsets and let them play with a poodle named Aro. The results were tail-waggingly delightful! Walking Aro made people feel super chill, brushing her improved focus, and playing with her was the ultimate combo of relaxed and alert.
Researchers found that different doggy activitiesâlike petting, walking, and playingâtriggered brainwaves linked to relaxation, concentration, and good vibes. Massaging Aro or feeding her treats was especially mood-boosting, while playing with toys or taking a stroll amped up relaxation.

It turns out, interacting with dogs can spark some serious brainpower, boosting creativity and lowering stress. And itâs not just this studyâthereâs growing evidence that dogs can help with everything from depression to PTSD. But here's the catch: youâve got to like animals to feel the magic.

Dog therapy programs, like UCLAâs People-Animal Connection, see these effects firsthand. Stressed-out people relax, smile, and even open up emotionally after just a few minutes with a therapy dog. Whether it's comforting a family in a hospital or helping kids through tough interviews, dogs offer comfort without asking for anything in returnâexcept maybe a belly rub!
In short: Dogs aren't just man's best friendâthey're a brainâs best buddy too!
